MDC Partners Inc. now Stagwell Global is advertising and marketing holding company based in New York City, at One World Trade Center. https://www.stagwellglobal.com Stagwell’s Global HQ is located on 6 floors of the WTC 1, floors 64-69, totaling 190,000 SF. The occupancy on all floors is about 1,200 people. The new Corporate Headquarters serves as headquarters for Stagwell and offices for 12 agency brands consolidated from various locations throughout New York City.
The project program includes Corporate Reception and Hospitality Area, Corporate Conference, Multiple Reception Areas, Amenity Ally, Production Center, Wellness Centers, Podcast Room, Offices, Benching, Conference Rooms, Lounges, Pantries, two major Commons, and an Interconnecting Stair. The Interconnecting Stair is made of black steel, wood, and aircraft cable.
Spanning 6 floors, the HQ was designed to reflect the unique essence of each agency’s brand and culture while creating beneficial synergies. Buffering each distinct agency’s spaces are common areas to promote cross-agency collaboration, such as shared lounges, yoga floors, pantry and kitchen space, and dining areas. The corners of each floor are accentuated with meeting rooms and breakout spaces with unencumbered views of the city through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
The main floor and lobby area can be used to host events and features shared wall space for agencies to showcase their brands. On the corporate floor is a conference center and flagship boardroom with access to a communal space, called the Hive, designed for cross-agency use and collaborative meetings.
FURNITURE & FURNISHINGS
Unique to the project are the Furniture and Furnishings. Furnishings include custom designed Chandeliers in the Boardroom and Corporate Reception Area. Furniture includes Office and Ancillary. Office furniture was provided by Kimball Workplace and some of the Ancillary Furniture was provided by Kimball Hospitality. Dean Maltz designed for Kimball Workplace 26 Conference Tables, including a Boardroom Table made of Black Painted Steel, Black Glass and Wood. Kimball Hospitality’s D’Style produced three Dean Maltz Collections, Criss, Pyramid, and Elle. They are made of black steel, glass and wood and total 47 in all. D’Style collections include Credenzas, Coffee Tables and End Tables.
